Kerstin Robb@Piggleliggle Ceramic Studio
I make functional yet decorative pottery that spans a broad spectrum of ceramic art. I work with clay in a variety of ways from hand building using slabs, molding or slip casting in earthen or stoneware clay.
Each piece is varied, glazed by hand and represents the beauty of the Strathmore Valley and the picturesque market town of Alyth.
All my work is a tranquil, free-flowing and simplistic.
My journey with pottery began in the 1970’s when I started working with clay during a school art lesson and it quickly became my most favoured creative medium.
My work is influenced by my instincts and emotions. The pattern and colour in my ceramics are inspired by the natural world – trees, plants, birds and other animals that inhabit the surrounding countryside, my travels at home and abroad
